We went camping

We didn't let summer get by without a good camping experience so at the end of August we went down to Colorado Springs and went camping with best friends Crystie and Corey. We went to this place called Folsom I think, which is a military personal campground, and since Crystie and Corey were in the army, we got in. It was one of the nicest little campgrounds I have ever been too. Little lakes, trails, lodges and campsights so spread out that even full would feel really fine there. And, none of the portapoties stank! I have wanted to blog about it, but time keeps flying, so it's a little late, but I can't help but talk about it anyways.



These show Crystie and Corey hanging out with our kids, one of the biggest reasons we like hanging out with them ;). And, Crystie is a good enough friend I can hang up a picture of her with a funny face.

On a short little one mile hike just off the campground. Even Isaac walked the whole way, he had to pull Crystie in the end :).

And credit for this beautiful tree shot...I like it because this is what it feels like to me to be out and away from all the noise of other people and experience God's creations. That's why I like camping, not the cold nights definately but, because it's so pretty.

We ended it all at BJ's in CO Springs, est. 1950 and very cutely retro. Nothing like ending with icecream.
